EDIAN coordinator, professor Nektarios Tavernarakis, was among the invited speakers at the event “When logic chases memory – The multidimensional threat of Alzheimer’s disease in the 21st century”.

The event aimed at increasing public awareness on Alzheimer’s disease:
•            How does Alzheimer’s disease affect patients’ memory?
•            Which factors are involved in the appearance of Alzheimer’s disease symptoms?
•            What are the available diagnostic tools and the latest developments in AD treatment
•            How can a caregiver support a patient?
•            What are the rights of dementia patients?
•            What societal measures are there for the management of Alzheimer’s disease?

The event took place in Heraklion, on May 6, 2022 and was organized by Crete University Press and Heraklion Society of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders
